"The Look"

I told my girls the other day that I was a better toddler mom than a tween/teen mom.  They looked at me like I was crazy which is about the same look I get in any given situation. I used to be the person they come to for everything; every question, every fix, every hug to make it all better. Now I get "The Look"! You know the one that I am talking about. "The Look" that suggests I am growing two heads. "The Look" that says I know nothing about the world. "The Look" that says I know nothing about fashion. "The Look" that says I am out of touch with today's youth. "The Look" that says I couldn't possibly understand.  I believe about this time, I gave "the Look" right back. The one that says you can think what you want, but I am still "The Mom"

So around this time, I thought there has to be other moms going through the same thing. Then I got this idea for a blog. If a mom, teen and tween can have different viewpoints about a subject, lets share it. Let's start some conversation. So this blog is being written for all those moms, tweens and teens who think differently from each other but probably not that differently. For those moms, tweens and teens who have the same ideas but express it differently.  My girls, E (teen) and G (tween) and I (the mom) will write about what pops up in our lives and give different viewpoints on the subject. We will throw in a little talk about school, money, friends, fashion and anything in between.

So welcome to our blog. Keep coming back for more. Do you have teens and tweens who think you are out of touch? Are you a mom that gets "The Look?" Are you a tween or teen that gives "The Look?"  We would love to hear from you.
